This 2 week program “Feeding with Love and Good Sense” follows the Ellyn Satter philosophy of achieving your baby’s optimal nutrition by helping your child develop a healthy relationship with food. You will learn how to best meet your baby’s nutrient needs and which solid foods to introduce first to help your child avoid food allergies. This program will also teach you how to observe the division of responsibility during feeding so your baby can develop lifelong healthy eating habits. After all, a healthy relationship with food, and with you, is the only way your baby will learn to enjoy eating and feel safe to experiment with an increasing variety of foods.

This program includes two informative nutrition education classes and is ideally suited for parents who have children ages 0 - 11 months.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR POST-NATAL NUTRITION PROGRAM:

Session 1 — Babies ages 0 to 6 months:

This session is an interactive education session where you will learn how to recognize the cues that signal you're meeting the fluid and energy requirements your baby needs. We will also view the Ellyn Satter video “Feeding with Love and Good Sense" and discuss the feeding concepts presented in “The Infant". You will learn how to observe the division of responsibility in feeding so your child will feel confident in starting solid foods.

Session 2 — Babies ages 6 - 11 months:

In this interactive education session, you will learn everything you need to know about how, when and what solid foods to introduce to your baby first to maximize development and minimize food allergies. We will also view the Ellyn Satter video: “Feeding with Love and Good Sense - The older baby" to teach you first hand how to introduce your baby to solid foods effortlessly!
